MARA GALEAZZI.
Mara Galeazzi was born in Brescia, Italy, where she began her ballet training before continuing her studies at La Scala Ballet School in Milan.
After the graduation, she joined The Royal Ballet and rose through the ranks to become a Principal dancer, establishing herself as one of the most distinctive and expressive artists of her generation. Over the course of her career, she performed leading roles in the classical repertoire, including Giselle, Manon, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. Her interpretation of Manon in particular became one of her defining roles, demonstrating her strong dramatic instinct and emotional depth.
She worked closely with some of the most influential choreographers of her time, including Kenneth MacMillan, Frederick Ashton, Wayne McGregor and Christopher Wheeldon, contributing to both major revivals and contemporary creations. Her performances were widely recognised for their theatrical intensity, musicality and nuanced characterisation.
Her career has taken her to leading international stages and prestigious galas worldwide, where she appeared as a guest artist with major companies and collaborators. Alongside her work in ballet, she has expanded her artistic practice into theatre, film and acting, exploring new forms of storytelling beyond the traditional stage.
Following her performing career, she continues to work internationally as an artist, coach and creative collaborator, developing projects that connect dance with broader artistic and cultural practices.
