ABOUT US

WINN is a Stuttgart based dance company that brings together artistic practice, education, and social sustainability. WINN stands for When, If Not Now, which reflects both an artistic and an ethical position, but also serves as a statement pointing to timing, agency, and the moment to act within the cultural sector.

At the centre of WINN is an ensemble of world class dancers aged 40 and over, whose careers have shaped international ballet and contemporary dance for decades. Their physical knowledge, interpretative depth, and artistic intelligence open new dimensions of expression on stage. Choreographic creation is closely connected to the dancers’ lived experience, with biography, memory, and artistic maturity forming part of the creative process.

In close collaboration with cultural institutions, choreographers, and partners from different industries, WINN develops interdisciplinary projects that engage with current questions in dance and contribute to rethinking the societal perception of age.

Research, dialogue, and educational work are integral parts of its activities, alongside a strong commitment to social sustainability and to fostering longer, healthier, and more responsibly structured artistic careers.

OUR MISSION

By connecting with people, industries, and technology, we aim to transform the perspective on age and beauty, promote social sustainability, and inspire the creation of new artistic work.
