Carmela is a Swiss-born, Zurich-based communications consultant and PR strategist, specialising in cultural brand connections, events and integrated media strategies. She operates at the intersection of brands, media and cultural networks, crafting narratives and experiences that resonate across audiences and markets.
She began her career in the web industry, gaining hands-on experience in 360° communication before pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communication between Zurich and Copenhagen. Immersed in the Scandinavian approach to creative ecosystems, where brands, people and disciplines naturally intersect, she developed a mindset that continues to shape her work today, defining her approach to building strategic and culturally relevant communication.
Carmela developed her expertise at leading agencies in Zurich, including Station, Real Time Society and Bykarb, working with clients across the DACH region and internationally. Her latest projects have taken her to Hong Kong, New York and Paris, contributing to a strong global perspective and network.
Her portfolio spans luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle, including brands such as Tod’s, Hermès and Panerai, alongside Merz Aesthetics, Mode Suisse, The Kinship and La Serlas, as well as leading Swiss watchmakers. She has also collaborated with Swiss chef Olivier Bur, supporting the communication of the pop-up for his new restaurant Casarré at WSA in New York.
Over the years, she has built a strong international network and close relationships with leading media across the DACH region. Her work is defined by a strategic, culturally attuned approach to communication, with a proven ability to deliver high-impact results, including securing multiple cover stories for luxury clients.
Alongside her work with established brands, she has supported emerging and start-up companies in the Swiss market, shaping their identity and positioning while laying the foundation for long-term growth.
Today, she conceptualises and leads communication projects across international markets, translating brand vision into impactful formats, from media-driven storytelling to collaborations and experiences.
